Stomach-friendly vitamin C – calcium ascorbate
If you want to optimize your vitamin C intake with the help of dietary supplements but have a sensitive stomach or do not want to disturb the acid-base balance in the body, you should choose a buffered vitamin C such as the calcium ascorbate contained in APOrtha ® Immune Complex AV . Buffered vitamin C – as calcium ascorbate – is stomach-friendly and neutral, so that the acid-base balance is not put under strain. In addition, the bioavailability is higher with buffered vitamin C (calcium ascorbate). In addition, the buffering ensures a retardation effect. This means that vitamin C stays in the body longer and small amounts of nutrients are supplied continuously over a longer period of time.

Vitamin D3, known as the sunshine vitamin, also plays an important role in a well-functioning immune system. This is also confirmed by the following health claim:
Folic acid” as 5-MTHF folate
Conventional folic acid preparations are artificial folic acid developed in the laboratory, which differs significantly from natural, bioactive folate. It first has to be converted in the body in a complicated way into the natural folate form 5-MTHF (5-methyltetrahydrofolate).
However, for many people, the enzyme dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) is only partially active in the last step of converting folic acid into folate, so they cannot improve their folate levels by taking folic acid tablets.
Even when the enzyme is functioning normally, the conversion of folic acid into folate occurs very slowly and leads to a high concentration of free folic acid in the blood. Higher doses of 5-MTHF, on the other hand, do not cause any side effects because the body can control the natural vitamin B9 very well, so that the blood level always remains within the normal range. APOrtha ® Immune Complex AV therefore contains the bioactive folate form 5-MTHF as the first choice vital substance.
Vitamin B6 as P-5-P
P-5-P ( pyridoxal-5-phosphate ) as coenzyme B6 is the biologically active form of vitamin B6. Biologically active P-5-P does not first have to be produced in the liver from pyridoxine. P-5-P is up to 10 times more effective than Pyridoxine HCL and can be used by the body immediately.
Vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin
The vitamin B12 active ingredient methylcobalamin is one of 2 active coenzymes of vitamin B12. Unlike cyanocobalamin, which is often used in conventional products, it is available to the body immediately and without prior conversion.
Vitamin A as vegan retinyl acetate
Vitamin A (Retinol) is a fat-soluble, essential vitamin. In its storage form, retinyl acetate, as contained in the APOrtha ® Immune Complex AV, it is quickly converted by the body into the active retinol.
Retinyl acetate also has the advantage of being a vegan raw material. Retinyl esters of natural vitamin A are found exclusively in raw materials of animal origin, primarily in liver. That’s why we chose the synthetic, vegan vitamin A version of the APOrtha ® Immune Complex AV.
Zinc and selenium in organic form
APOrtha ® Immune Complex AV contains zinc as zinc glycinate and selenium as L-selenomethionine . In general, trace elements can be absorbed as inorganic or organic compounds. However, the organic compounds generally have a significantly higher bioavailability and are available to the body more quickly.
